Notes: First major non-automotive drag race sponsor.; Although both Richer and Armstrong shared driving duties in 1956, research found that Richer was the sole driver in 1957. They drove in very few, if any, races in the first half of 1957. The first race research found in '57 was on June 9 at Pomona. Not only was it the first race for them that season, but it was also the first (and only) outing on gas. Richer clocked 10.55 at 134.52 mph. After that, they shipped the car to Hawaii with several other stateside cars. Richer ran 9.49 at 153.84 mph before blowing his transmission at Kahuku Drag Strip. Back in the states, Richer continued recording runs over 150 mph. At Colton on Aug. 24 (153.06 mph), at Colton on Sep. 1/2 (155.70 mph & 157.34 mph), at Colton on Sep. 14 (159.17 mph), and at Bakersfield on Oct. 6 (159.01 mph).
