Notes: Reynal was a member of the Salinas Hi-Timers and Slopokes car clubs. He was also vice president of the Northern California Timing Association. He won the Class C division drag race on Sep. 10, held during the 3rd annual air fair at the Salinas Airport. Class C was for stock-bodied cars but with fenders removed. He was the fastest qualifier in Class C on Nov. 26 at the drag races held at Sky Park Airport in Scott's Valley. He won Class C at the Salinas Airport race on Dec. 10, turning 103.45 mph in his gold and white '32 Ford. That was the fastest speed during the racing events. Four hundred spectators watched those races. There were faster times clocked during qualifying, including runs by Joe Mailliard and Harold Nicholson, but Reynal had the fastest time during the afternoon racing.
