Notes: On June 21, "Dyno" Don Nicholson made history at a match race against Bill Jenkins at Englishtown. Don ran the first recognized seven second time in a Pro Stock car. In the first race of the match, his 7.99/162.45 beat Jenkins' 8.38/152. "Grumpy" won the second race with a holeshot 8.15/165 beating Nicholson's 8.10/164.53. But "Dyno" came back to win the match in the last race with an 8.01/166.35 over Jenkins' 8.19/166. |

Notes: I know for sure that our best run with FliteMaster Barracuda was a 7.42, 205 at KCIR in 1971. I was very pleased with that, as Minick's best run in that car was 7.35 at 203 I believe. I built our stock stroke motor to Coil's specs, so it was nearly identical to the motor they had run in the car. - Paul Stenquist |
