Notes: Collins's homemade dragster was built at a cost of about $1,300. He spent about 1,000 hours on it. He built the frame out of square tubing and plucked the engine out of a '57 Chrysler. He mounted four carbs on the Hemi. He got the rear slicks from a place in Little River and got the front tires from a policeman friend's motorcycle.
