Notes: This car was built for Jim Wassinger and Rex Wiederspan by Frank Peterson to run B/FD. It ran a 331 small block with Crower injection, a Scott clutch and a B& J three speed. This picture from Marion, South Dakota. The car was a lay down and was a ball to drive. I was lucky enough to drive it. Mick Mackey and Rex also made a few passes in the car. - Larry Parenteau |

Notes: This our first dragster that we ran injected fuel (B/FD). It was a small (283) small block running about 98%. It was high gear only. This picture from Century 21, east of Denver in 1973. It was Jere Wilson's last front motor car that he won the Division 5 AA/FD title with. Myke Davidson and Larry Ostrom were my partners with a lot of help and support from Gilbert Pisano. Best of times! - Larry Parenteau |

Notes: Here is the second car that I was involved with. It was owned by a guy named A W Harbin. It was my motor out of my 56 and he only used it a couple of times while I was keeping our airplanes safe. I never got to drive it. This picture from Thunder Road (aka Sticker City) in about 1969. |

Notes: This is a BB/FC owned by Rick Pierce. It was crashed and rebuilt and this was the new paint job. I was lucky enough to get to drive the car the first three passes after the rebuild and before paint. The car was raced for a while and then sold to Bucky Austin. The car was a show winner taking a best paint award and others. The paint was done by Skidders and Roger Younger. Larry Parenteau |

Notes: 1972/1973 my first ride in a fuel dragster, courtesy Larry Parenteau. I worked with him as a crew member with my brother Mark, and Larry knew i wanted to drive (I warmed the car most always) so Larry could adjust the barrel valve. One day Larry said, be ready you are driving on Sunday at Thunder Road. On my first full pass on the car and I went (I believe) faster / quicker than previous drivers at 8.15/155 mph. |
