Notes: Wray raced a '32 Ford with co-owner Lou Wolffe in 1956. In '57 he began racing a '27 Ford. Zimmerlee joined him as a co-owner in July. Before then, at Camp White, Wray turned in times of 85.55 mph (5/26), 79.290 mph (6/9), and 81.51 mph (6/23) at Camp White races. Zimmerlee and Wray were paired up for the July 28 race at Camp White and ran 87.46 mph. On Aug. 11 at Camp White they ran in A/SR, clocking their fastest time of 89.73 mph. On Sep. 8 at Camp White, they returned to running in B/SR and clocked a strip record of 87.80 mph. They drove to Redding, California and won the B/SR class with 89.10 mph.
