Notes: 427 Chev powered Mustang (one of the early FC chassis and bodies). Trevor Mobbs was always on the lookout for something different to run at the Bohle, Townsville. This car came up for sale in Gladstone (from memory) and Trevor contacted Ken. The car was put together in the workshop at 1st City Caravilla caravan park in Cairns which was then owned by Ron Hughes. Ron became a sponsor of the Bohle strip. Ken was the machine shop foreman at Repco in Cairns. He helped many local drag racers out doing their machine work in his own time after hours. - John Griffith |
