Notes: Butch qualified this car #2 at the 1972 NHRA Winternationals at 6.849/208.81. He won a first-round match-up with a heavily favored Gene Snow 6.83/213.27 to an 11.49/61. He lost in the second round to event winner Ed McCulloch's 6.65/217 with a respectable 6.84/216.34. Former Whipple & McCulloch Indy winner. Butch moved into the Motown Shaker at Gainesville and Columbus and drove Mart Higginbotham's car at Amarillo. |
