Notes: Bill attempted to qualify at Firebird's Super Bowl of Drag Racing, but his 6.94/211.76 was far from making the field. Daily was booked into the NHRA D4 race at Green Valley, TX. He did not run NHRA national events in 1986. The car became Jim White's Mohawk Express in 1987. Rick Johnson drove the car also at the Texas Motorplex in 1986. Qualified #5 at ADRA Spokane 8/86 at 6.021/236.22. Listed times from The Drag Racing List December 86/January 87, Volume 1, Number 9. |

Notes: Larry was at St. Louis in June for the AHRA Gateway Nationals. His 7.10/208.82 qualified #5. That set up a first-round meeting with low qualifier Tom McEwen. Both got badly out of shape in their race as both cars almost left the track. Gould crossed the stripe first for the win. Unfortunately, Larry fouled against eventual winner Tom Hoover in the semifinal. Bought Mustang II body from Al Bergler. Eventually (reluctantly?) switched to late-model hemi power, ran several 6.90s at Union Grove in the late 70s. - Tim Simplot |

Notes: Troy qualified #2 at Green Valley Raceway for the NHRA Division 4 race in February with a 6.60/208.81. His opening round 6.63/203.61 beat Kent Nuckols, and he made an easy "odd-lot" solo in round two. In the semifinals, his 6.54/206.42 beat Randy Meyer's 6.91/197. He faced low qualifier Larry Klinger in the final, who also ran 6.54 in his semifinal race. The two had a good race, but Larry's 6.55/208 prevailed over Buff's close 6.60/205.94. He was the second alternate at Baton Rouge for the NHRA Cajun Nationals eight-car field with a 6.55/208.42. | He ran NHRA D4 Ennis TX 8/86 | Troy was also the second alternate at the NHRA Chief Nationals with a 6.53/212.81. Listed times from Drag Racing List December 86/January 87 Volume 1, Number 9. |
