Notes: Montgomery ran a Buick motor in his highly modified Cord in '51 and '52. On Feb. 10 at Kingdon, he set a state record in Class A Hot Stock with 100.05 mph. He won Class C at Hammer Field in Fresno on Sep. 7 with 104.16 mph. These classes were essentially an A Fuel Coupe/Sedan. In '53, he swapped out the Buick for a GMC.
