Notes: Flip roof, removable front. In April, Al was at Cecil County for a best of three match race against "Jungle Jim" Liberman. The Charger was newly equipped with a supercharger after running injected early in the season. Graeber lost all three races and the match, but his times were good. He ran 8.38/175.09 that lost to Liberman's 8.38/151. In the second race, his 8.49/175.09 lost to JJ's 8.21/143, and a final 8.39/175.43 lost to Jim's 8.07/176. The track record was 8.03 by Don Nicholson. Graeber was at Cecil County for the CARS All-Star Championships. In the opening round of eliminations, his 7.72/180 advanced over a fouling Arnie Beswick. In the second round, he ran 8.11/177.86 to beat Tony Wahlay, but in the semifinal, eventual winner Dick Loehr's 7.87/182 beat Al's 8.33/175.09. |
