Notes: Photo shows Cook at the Green Valley Division 4 race, where he did not qualify. Frank was at State Capitol Raceway in March for the second NHRA Division 4 race. He qualified on the "bump" for the eight-car show with a 6.84/187.50. He shut off with problems in round one, advancing Harold Lewelling. Frank attempted to qualify at the NHRA Cajun Nationals, but a 6.65/213.37 best was good for the fourth alternate for the eight-car field. On June 14 Cook was at 1/20 Dragway in Tyler Texas for an All-American Funny Car Circuit race. Unfortunately, his 6.05/179.28 failed to qualify for the eight-car show on the 1,000 foot track. Cook made it to the Houston WWCS 6/85 race qualifying number six with a 6.75/200.89, but Cook was unable to make the first-round. |
