Notes: Johnson set an unofficial world record for a single-engine fuel cycle at Dunkirk on August 23 when he turned 145 mph. He was unable to back it up. He was formerly from Kenmore, New York, and was visiting family. He had brought his Vincent cycle with him. At a race at Dunkirk on August 9, he turned 10.22 at 132 mph.
