Notes: Joe ran A/FC 72 & 73, then went to BB/FC in 74 and early 75 before debuting the Monza. Best I found in 74 were 7.21/188.28 at Englishtown. In 75, I have a 7.17/190.67 at Maple Grove with the Cuda, and with the Monza in 75 a 6.84 at Maple Grove and 205.47 at Englishtown. — DD | Joe was at Indy for the NHRA US Nationals where he qualified #10 in the 32 car field with a 7.23. Unfortunately, he had problems in the first round, and his off-pace 8.01 lost to Marlis Williams' 7.29. |

Notes: Phil won the Super Stock Big Go South race at Miami-Hollywood on January 22. In the opening round of competition, Bonner's 9.41/154.10 defeated Shirl Greer's 9.58/150. In round two, a quick 9.16/157.06 did the trick to beat Dave Strickler's Corvette at 9.63/139. He was to face Huston Platt's Nova in the final, but the Chevy had throttle linkage problems, and Phil ran 9.38/157.34 for the victory. Bonner was at Southeastern International Raceway (Dallas, Georgia) on October 15. He was there as a backup car for the match race between "Dyno Don" Nicholson and Bobby Woods. He wasn't needed, but he did run a 7.63 on the 1,000-foot track. Phil flipped the car somewhere this year. |

Notes: Chadwick was at Lexington on June 5 for a best of three match against Ed Rachanski's 427-wedge powered Comet. It was a good close match, but Kelly won all three races. In the first race, his 9.80/140.40 beat Ed's 9.85/134. Rachanski fouled away a 9.78/139 in their second race, and Kelly won with a 9.79/140.89 and a 9.74 in the final race beat the Comet's 9.85. |
