Notes: On May 19, Joniec was at New England Dragway for an AHRA Grand Stock circuit race. His 9.63 qualified second behind Tom Sneden's 9.58. In the opening round, his 9.83/144 beat Sam Kennedy, who got out of shape. He was late off the line in the semifinal and is 9.53/146.34 (Top Speed) lost to Sneden's 9.60/145. Al was running this car on gas at Atco on September 15 for the third Grand National Ultra Stock Points Final. He blew a transmission in the semifinals but ran 9.52/144.92 in the first round. |
