Notes: Took over driving when Don Westerdale took Ford job. Merek ran 7.62/209 in his second time out driving the "Ramchargers" car. On July 2, he beat Don Prudhomme in a best of three match race at Cecil County. He ran a best of 7.69/201. The two had a rematch the next day at Pittsburgh. Merek won two of three with Don Prudhomme and set a track record 7.74 at 199.10, but lost to the "Snake's" 8.00/167. |
