Notes: Jim purchased the national-record-holding Plueger & Gyger Mustang Funny Car and planned to spend 1977 match racing the Funny Car – refitted with a Camaro body - and running the national events with the dragster, but Bill Pryor needed back surgery in April, scotching those plans. They hired Pat Dakin, Ron Correnti, and Ron O’Donnell to fill the match race dates to which they had committed until Pryor could get back on his feet. |
